Learn about the background and purpose, achievements to date, and future strategy of the Sony Acceleration Platform. This exhibit will introduce the services and activities currently offered by the Sony Acceleration Platform, including the Acceleration Service, which helps solve challenges in business development, the business matching platform service, Boundary Spanning Service, which was launched in January 2025, as well as other initiatives that create connections beyond boundaries.

REON POCKET was commercialized in 2020 in an in-house startup program hosted by the Sony Acceleration Platform. Spun off in 2023, it is now being rolled out globally by Sony Thermo Technology Inc. The booth will feature the REON POCKET PRO high-end model, which was released in May 2025.

The Sony corporate venture capital fund, Sony Innovation Fund (SIF), invests in next-generation startups to support their businesses. Since 2022, the Sony Acceleration Platform has partnered with SIF to provide support services to its invested companies. These services and support case studies will be highlighted at the booth.

Sony Music Solutions Inc. (SMS) offers a variety of B-to-B solutions, including comprehensive PR planning that utilizes artists' and characters' IP assets. Since 2024, SMS and the Sony Acceleration Platform have been collaborating to provide entertainment-focused solutions. The booth will feature services that are currently being offered as well as support case studies.

The Sony Acceleration Platform has had a base in Sweden since 2016 and has been expanding its support to various countries worldwide, including in Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia, in collaboration with international organizations, universities, and startups. The booth will feature support case studies outside Japan to date and examples of collaboration with global innovation hubs.

To realize its "Creative Entertainment Vision," Sony is promoting initiatives to maximize the value of its IP. The most notable example of this is the multi-faceted development of the suspenseful action-adventure game The Last of Us, including its adaptation into an HBO Original drama series and a location-based entertainment concept experience at CES® 2025. The booth will showcase the diverse initiatives for The Last of Us as an example of "boundary spanning" beyond the gaming domain.

Mapray is an open digital twin development platform that aggregates 3D data and various other types of information, enabling their advanced utilization. It provides a flexible service development environment leveraging digital twin technology powered by "maprayJS," a graphics engine capable of high-speed, high-quality rendering of various large-capacity data, and "Mapray Cloud," which generates, manages, and distributes optimized, high-quality 3D and geospatial data. Currently, Mapray is utilizing the Boundary Spanning Service and searching for partners and customers to work together to create new value. The booth will provide an overview of the service.
